Questions teams ask first
Is it really free?
Yes. Free covers 5 users, 3 projects and 1,000 test cases with test runs, test plans, requirements traceability, Docs Spaces, Excel import/export and 30 hosted AI minutes a month. There is no time limit and no credit card. New workspaces also get a 14-day Team trial, no card needed. When it ends you simply stay on Free. You only pay if you pick a paid plan.
Can I move my test cases from TestRail, QA Touch, Qase or Excel?
Yes. TestLinkPro imports TestRail CSV/XML (or pulls straight from the TestRail API), Qase CSV/JSON/API, QA Touch CSV/JSON, Zephyr Scale CSV and Xray CSV on paid plans, and Excel on every plan, including Free.
Where is my data stored?
On a cloud server at Hetzner in Falkenstein, Germany (EU). All traffic uses HTTPS, saved integration passwords and API keys are encrypted at rest, and the database is backed up every night.
Do read-only viewers need a paid seat?
No. On Starter, Team and Business, viewers are free and unlimited. You only pay for people who create or run tests.
Is this the TestLink open-source tool?
No. TestLinkPro is an independent, modern test management app built from scratch. It is not affiliated with the TestLink open-source project.
What happens when I reach a Free plan limit?
Nothing is deleted. You just can’t add more users, projects or test cases beyond the Free limits. Upgrade from inside the app and carry on; your data stays where it is.
